digital photo professor: Matthew Barrick began his photographic career the way most people with an interest in photography, the gift of a camera and no idea how to use it. However, while a student at Radford University he became the assistant university photographer and from there on a career was born. In 1990 he was appointed university photographer at The Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. In 1997 Matthew moved on to become the national photographer for home healthcare and hospice traveling around the country documenting the lives of those receiving home health care. Since 1995 Matthew has been teaching at The Catholic University of America where he is currently an adjunct professor in the department of Art. With over 160 magazine covers to his credit and countless published works in books, magazines, newspapers and private collections, Matthew’s work is well represented both in the US and abroad.
